Bike Racks for ME program

The MaineDOT and GO MAINE Commuter Connections, in partnership with the Bicycle Coalition of Maine, support and encourage bicycling as an important mode of transportation. We’ve created Bike Racks for ME for communities, organizations and workplaces across Maine to help expand bicycle parking opportunities. The only cost to you or your community is the local match of 20%.

This program provides bike racks to encourage bike commuting by increasing secure parking options for bicyclists. Bicycling is a practical means of transportation and a clean and green way to get around. The bicycle commuting trend is catching on and we know that the ability to securely park and lock-up a bike is an integral part to bike commuting and riding in general. That’s why we created the Bike Racks for ME program.

There are two types of racks to choose from, the Bike Dock and the Stadium Rack. The Bike Dock holds two bikes and the free-standing Stadium Racks hold six or eight bikes.
