GO MAINE offers the Emergency Ride Home Guarantee for registered commuters actively using alternate modes of travel to and from work . It’s our #1 benefit that allows for a free (or reimbursed) taxi ride or rental car home in the event of an unforeseen workday emergency.
Think of it as commuter insurance!
Qualifying workday emergencies include an illness, family crisis, unscheduled overtime, or other workday emergency that forces you to have to miss your carpool, bus, or vanpool ride or makes that ride unavailable to you.
NOTE: The ERHG benefit is available only to enrolled GO MAINE commuters who are regular users of commuting alternatives: carpooling, vanpooling, transit, and even bicyling and walking (inclement weather!). Use of this special benefit is limited to 2 times per calendar month or 8 times per calendar year.
